Euroart is a not-for-profit social-action organisation working through the arts to provide affordable studio spaces, facilities and opportunities for artists and makers and, to create opportunities for people to participate in artistic experiences. It is committed to bringing contemporary art practice to the local community and beyond and have a constantly evolving programme of creative work. Established in 2002 by professional artist/curator Lorraine Clarke and space projects quality engineer Nigel Young, in an old rag-trade factory, Euroart is now a complex of 42 studios of various sizes, an art gallery and a b/w photography darkroom. The site benefits from internal parking, CCTV and coded access main gates that close at night. Pro-actively managed, Euroart promotes the work of its resident artists/creative businesses and provides work experience opportunities to the volunteer sector.
