Phoenix Cinema Phoenix Cinema

The Phoenix is one of London's leading independent cinemas and one of the oldest cinemas in the UK (built in 1910). Behind its modern foyer lies an historic auditorium with unique art deco features. The Phoenix has a renowned film programme of new releases, independent, foreign-language and specialist films, plus a repertoire of old and new classics. It offers a kids club, regular events, festivals, one-off talks and screenings, workshops for schools, film classes and a hugely popular membership scheme. It also provides a small, informal gallery space to enable local artists to show their work in an appreciative environment. It will display a broad range of work in the gallery, from students to more established local artists. The gallery space is run by Amanda Smith, who has studied fine art at Byam Shaw School of Art. For further information please contact Amanda through the cinema on 020 8444 6789 or at art@phoenixcinema.co.uk. Please note that Amanda does not work full-time at the Phoenix
